Labor Forecasting

Stromberg

Stromberg Labor Forecasting estimates an unlimited number of user-defined drivers, such as anticipated daily customers, items, and sales, in 15-minute increments. This flexibility allows management to apply an unprecedented level of service to all areas where standards allow for work loading. Each department can track requirements by defining an unlimited quantity of forecast drivers to achieve an extremely precise requirements balance specifically for that department.

The forecast model automatically adjusts for seasonal, holiday, and recurring patterns. It also provides the ability to add notes to any day on the calendar to indicate a special event of any type that could affect that day’s sales or customer traffic, such as remodeling, a special sale, or unusual weather occurrence.

Features

  • Day-of-week adjuster distributes weekly sales by day experience.
  • Time-of-day adjuster, using POS and accounting data, allows the traffic/work-flow pattern to be further adjusted to 15-minute intervals.
  • Holiday/special event adjuster uses up to eight years of historical data, making possible the match of both day- and date-type holidays.

Labor Budgeting

Stromberg

This enables management to react to changing conditions and make any workforce adjustments necessary to keep corporate goals on track.

Features

  • Ability to view actual, scheduled, and budgeted hours by department, location, district, region, and company.
  • Accurate calculation of payroll costs (including overtime and special earning category processing), allowing for precise control of labor expenses.
  • Data is based on percentage of labor to sales or sales per employee hour.
  • Information is maintained for current, previous, and future pay periods for detailed planning and comparison.
