Paychex Appoints Ian Sexton as President of Stromberg

Industry veteran to lead workforce management company

Lake Mary, FL. - August 14, 2007 - Stromberg, a subsidiary of Paychex, Inc. (NASDAQ:PAYX) and a leading provider of workforce management solutions for mid- to large-sized businesses, today announced that Ian Sexton has been named the company’s new president. Paychex appoints Ian Sexton to lead Stromberg as they continue to realize success in the enterprise workforce management market.

Ian Sexton has over twenty years of professional experience in the time and attendance industry. Most recently, he was the vice president of sales and marketing at Stromberg, LLC and was instrumental in the growth of Stromberg that was later acquired in 2004 by Paychex. In this role he created and grew the national accounts sales force and increased sales by over 1000%. He was previously vice president of sales at MCS, a leading British software company, where he built a team of over twenty software sales professionals in London. He then moved to Boston to start MCS’s United States subsidiary. Ian was also director of sales for ASA’s SmartTime time and attendance software division and served as president of T Systems, a reseller for ADI Time and eLabor’s time and labor division.
