Stromberg Announces Acqusition of Labor Resource Management, Inc.

Lake Mary, FL - Monday, January 16, 2006 - STROMBERG ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF LABOR RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, INC.

New York, NY, from the National Retail Federation’s BIG Show (January 16, 2006) – Stromberg, a subsidiary of Paychex, Inc. (NASDAQ: PAYX) and a leading provider of time and attendance software solutions for mid- to large-sized businesses, today announced the acquisition of Labor Resource Management, Inc. (LRM), a leading scheduling vendor whose systems are deployed by large retail organizations. The acquisition will enhance Stromberg’s Enterprise for Retail product line with the addition of LRM’s dynamic scheduling application.

“This acquisition complements our current product offering and provides our extensive retail client base with a best-of-breed scheduling application,” said Seth Bernstein, president of Stromberg. “This is an important step in our strategy to present a complete workforce management solution tailored to large retailers.”

LRM’s suite of products dynamically schedules employees to maximize productivity, matching employees’ availability and skills while monitoring and complying with corporate, federal and state policies. The current customer base includes D'Agostino Supermarkets, Inc., The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A&P) as well as several other industry leading retail and grocery businesses.

LRM’s headquarters in Glen Ellyn, Illinois will become a satellite office and all employees will be offered employment with Stromberg.
